Hey, I’m Crystal—founder of Women Are Not Okay™and your friendly neighborhood introvert who’s done pretending everything is fine.
I started WANO in the middle of a personal storm—burnout, anxiety, midlife identity crisis, and a deep, soul-sucking exhaustion from faking it. Somewhere between therapy appointments, Target runs, and ghosting group chats, I realized something: I wasn’t alone. Every woman I knew was not okay—but we were all too damn polite (and tired) to say it out loud.
So, I built this space for us.
For the women who are tired AF of faking it.
For the ones who want real conversations—not perfection, not Pinterest positivity.
For the overthinkers, the caretakers, the boundary-setters-in-training.
And for the ones who are still trying to figure out who the hell they are now.
I’m a writer, aspiring life coach, over-caffeinated book lover, and proud dog mom to two spoiled pups. I prefer silence over small talk, naps over networking, and confetti only if it’s digital.
This blog is part therapy, part sisterhood, part snark-fueled resistance to the pressure to smile through it all.
Welcome to the collective.
We’re not okay—and we’re not pretending anymore. 💛
